PRIDE IS STILL A MOVEMENT

PRIDE IS STILL A MOVEMENT

Today, it might seem obvious that everyone should be free to express themselves, love who they love, and exist openly as who they are. But getting here wasn’t easy.

The LGBTQ+ community has spent decades fighting against prejudice, discrimination, and barriers that still exist today — from rejection in social or sports environments to having their identities, relationships, or right to build a family constantly questioned. That’s why Pride still matters. Because it’s not just a celebration. It’s also visibility, remembrance, and movement.

At American Socks, we’ve been walking alongside that fight since the very beginning. Our Rainbow Socks were released back in 2013 as model AS015 and, even now that we’ve passed AS500, we still keep them close as one of the most meaningful designs we’ve ever made.

They’ve been worn at concerts, skate sessions, festivals, workouts, games, and through thousands of everyday steps taken by people simply wanting to express themselves freely, in their own way. Because support can live in the small gestures too. And we like to think we’re part of that journey in the best way we know how: by making every step a little more comfortable.

That’s why this June, 20% of sales from our Pride Collection will support LGBTQ+ organizations working every day to provide legal assistance, education, counselling, and real support to the community:

  • Casal Lambda (Spain)

  • AGEDO (Italy)

  • LSVD+ (Germany)

  • SOS Homophobie (France)

  • Rainbow Railroad (English-speaking markets)

To every LGBTQ+ person still fighting to make space for themselves in sports, music, the streets, or anywhere it still takes courage to simply be yourself: we stand with you.

Since 2013.
And wherever the fight takes us next.
